About the project
Project Period: Jan 2015 - Dec 2020 (70 Months)
Nascent RDO implemented an intervention which aimed to create Child Labour Free Zones in the urban poor slums of Kampala. The initial intervention covered Kasubi parish, one of the largest slums in Uganda and later scaled to Lubya a neighboring urban poor locale.
Project Focus
The project was part of the efforts under Stop Child Global Campaign and we were implementing it in collaboration with Hivos-Netherlands. This project enabled over 1000 children to transit from child labour and are now in formal schools with over 100 in vocational institutions.
