Project Focus

The study explored how both domestic and agricultural labour is allocated to different household members, possible labour deficits and how that contributes to child labour. This kind of labour allocation is situated in the changing dynamics of social, economic twists in households but also in seasonal changes of coffee farming. In addition, the research unearthed financial demands, priorities and constraints farmers experience in covering production costs and other household social costs as well as their possible backup strategies.
